Keys struck out 11 batters in the 6-0 win over Lourdes on Saturday

Aquinas junior (Badger Alumni) Travis Keys had a dominating performance to start WHAC play over the weekend and was named the WHAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon (Mar. 22) in Ohio


Keys took to the hill to start the WHAC opener against Lourdes in Toledo last Saturday and pitched seven strong innings before departing after 105 pitches. In his seven scoreless innings, Keys allowed only five hits and one walk, while striking out 11 batters. The Saints won 6-0 and split with Lourdes before sweeping Siena Heights in non-league play on Sunday.

 

Now 2-0 on the year with one save, Keys leads the WHAC with 36 strikeouts and is fifth with a 1.88 earned run average.
