---------------------------
Mike Lumley is a natural athlete and passionate about baseball. He received a baseball scholarship to Eastern Michigan University and was then drafted in the fifth round of the 1988 Major League Baseball draft by the Detroit Tigers. As a top prospect, Mike excelled early in his career, making stops in Fayetteville, North Carolina; Lakeland, Florida; his hometown of London, Ontario; and eventually in Toledo. However, arm injuries and a young family eventually led Mike to retirement after the 1993 season so he returned to London and started the London Badgers Baseball Organization. During his time with the Badgers, Mike has seen more than 100 players receive post-secondary scholarships and more than 20 of his players have been drafted by Major League Baseball teams. Mike is also the Head Coach of the Western Mustang Varsity baseball program.
