13U Badgers, 2017 (London Badgers)

London Badgers 13U jumped out to an early lead over Guelph Royals and took home a 9-2 victory on Monday.  London Badgers 13U scored on a double by Carson Lumley and a single by Seth Hedges in the first inning.London Badgers 13U secured the victory thanks to five runs in the sixth inning.

London Badgers 13U and Kitchener Panthers traded the lead back-and-forth on Tuesday, but eventually London Badgers 13U prevailed 4-2. London Badgers 13U took the lead for good in the fifth inning. The game was tied at two with London Badgers 13U batting in the bottom of the fifth when Carson Lumley singled off of #21, driving in two runs.

Day 2 of Olympia turned out to be another tremendous day of Team Building and Trust exercises.... Oh yes and a ton of fun as well!!!! Building trust in your teammates and coaches is an important key to team success and with the number of new players we have this year OSC helped accelerate this. We have been blessed to have two great OSC instructors in Bob and Matt who have brought the best out of our young athletes and hopefully us as a team moving forward.

After Day 1 it is evident that the Olympia Sports Leadership Camp will forever have a positive effect on our players. The day started with a quick tour of Olympia then off to a full day of activities. Although it rained most of the day it didn't seem to dampen their enthusiasm in the slightest. In fact it just added to the fun especially during our first team activity of "Chuck the Chicken". Then it was off to the Rock Tower where the kids had their first test in conquering their fear of heights.
