03 Badgers Win Oshawa Spring Showdown
The 03 Badgers wrapped up a solid defensive weekend of baseball by defeating the Northumberland Jacks 8-0 in a rain-soaked final at Kinsmen Park in Oshawa.
The Badgers posted a 2-1 record in pool play by beating Thornhill and Whitby 8-1 and 10-0 respectively on Saturday following an opening day loss 2-1 to Northumberland.
Sunday's cold and wet semi-final ended in an 11-1 victory of Peterborough and then the Badgers took the crown and gathered a measure of revenge over Northumberland in the final.
